Actually this is my 5th visit to Bali in my whole life, since my first time visit at 2002 ago. In my 5th visit, I want to explore basic tourism spot for taking few pictures, since previously I don’t have lot of time and chance to capture photos. I’ve prepared a travel friendly grears, Canon 70D, Sigma 17-70mm, Canon 10-18mm and Canon 50mm f/1.8 STM. From the internet I made a reservation for nice homestay at Gianyar, named Kudesa homestay. For assist me during the trip, I’d like to say thanks to Mr. Putu (+6281338587129), which is very helpful with his car and he also has a good knowledge about Bali tourism.
Day 1 : from Tabanan to Bedugul
Funny thing is, I’ve never been to Tanah Lot until this day. So we drive 1 hour from homestay to Tanah Lot beach and I love the scenery there. From there we proceed to Jatiluwih rice terrace and spend few minutes capture the pattern of paddy fields.
After lunch, the journey continues to highland, to Ulundanu where there’s a temple in Beratan lake. Most people say that almost always cloudy around Ulundanu, since it located in highland, and it’s true. It’s raining hard when we arrive, but slowly the rain subside and we can explore this lovely spot. After return to Ubud area, last spot for today is Taman Ayun, a temple that has a gate that reminds me to Angkor Wat.
Day 2 : leisure at homestay, Tegenungan waterfall, Kecak dance
Having busy at the first day makes me realize that I need a little bit leisure in homestay, so I don’t have too much plan for the second day.
Kudesa homestay, Kemenuh, Gianyar.
After 3pm we headed to Tegenungan waterfall which is so near with the homestay. After that, at 6pm we watch Kecak dance with 100k IDR entrance fee.
Kecak dance with step-on-fire performance.
Day 3 : exploring Kintamani
Another highland in Bali is Kintamani, and it’s different place, different mountain with previos spot. My primary destination is Tirta Empul, a temple that has water showers for people clean their body and soul. In my trip to Tirta Empul, I stop by at Soekarno museum, and it’s a nice place to visit too.
Not far from Tirta Empul, there’s another temple named Gunung Kawi. Mr. Putu suggest me to visit this temple too, but he doesn’t tell me that we need to walk with 200+ stairs which draining energy. It’s a remarkable place though, a stone carving at the cliff is amazing view. Now I understand why Mr. Putu didn’t tell me about the stairs, because you need to visit this place no matter how exhausting walk there. I might be pass if Mr. Putu explain in the whole before..
Since my retuning flight is 8pm, we choose the last spot at Kuta beach near airport, and spend a few minutes there watching the ‘Tukik’ released to the sea. Surely 3 days is not enough to explore the amazing Bali, and I need to return in the next time.
